NaNoWriMo

November 4, 2012

Hey guys!

I’m doing NaNoWriMo this year, so if you’d like to add me my username is: Rusty333P

My story is about a girl breaking out of her town only to find out her whole life was being monitored and controlled by a much more advanced city of people. (To put it simply)

It takes place a few hundred years after an apocalypse that destroyed almost all of humanity. The remaining humans all migrated to one area. (Which is where the story takes place)

After I finish, I’ll either post the story here without pictures or I’ll go in-game and take pictures then post it. Or I won’t post it at all, I guess it depends whether I like it in the end or not. 😛

Lucky Palms :O

June 30, 2012

Anyone else excited about this new town? 😀

I just had to get it. It reminds me so much of where I live.

All of the plants they made for it are around in my town too ;D

Yeah, I live in a desert..

Anyway, I’m thinking of using it for a new story? :3 Yeah, I love it that much xD

Okay, I’m done now. Byeeee 😀

Hrmm.

June 17, 2012

So I’ve been going over some of the old things I’ve written and posted on this blog.. and realizing just how terrible my writing was. xD

So I took off all of the chapters for “The Voices In My Head”.

And I’ll be going over everything else editing all of the spelling mistakes and grammatical errors.

Oh yeah, it’s summer for me now. You know what that means? I’m gunna write stuff. 😀

I actually have around three new stories all written up in My Documents that just need pictures for them. So, I’ll be releasing one of those stories at some point. Just which one is the question..

As for my other stories on here that aren’t finished? I might get some chapters out for them if I feel like it. Also, that Hunger Games writing comp I entered just kinda went down the drain. The person in charge of it hasn’t returned to the thread in some time so I guess that’s over. *sigh*

The Hunger Games Writing Contest: The Justice Building – #2

May 9, 2012

POV: Diamond

The peacekeepers push Zircon and I roughly down the hall and into different rooms. I watch Zircon being herded to a room next to me as I’m shoved through the doorway. The door slams shut behind me, and I’m alone. I walk slowly over to a couch, laying down on it.

My parents won’t visit me, as it is known as weak to be visited before the games. Our last goodbye was at home. A single hug from each of them. Tears in their eyes as they tell me they are so proud of me. I will make them proud. I will win. Even if it means killing Zircon to do so.

But how will I be able to live myself knowing it was my fault Zircon died? I can’t think about that now. I have to focus on the games. They are my life, I’ve known how this would go as long as I have lived. I change my position of the comfortable couch. It smells like home. I must doze off because the next think I know the door to the room bursts open and two peacekeepers grab me and rush me to a train.

I’m thrown into a room bigger than any room I’ve seen before. This must be how the Capitol people live. This is luxury. I walk slowly over to the four-poster bed, examining every corner of the room before plopping myself down onto the sheets. Somebody knocks at the door. It’s a high pitched, shrill voice.

“Be ready in ten minutes! Time to meet the mentors at dinner!” it says.

I walk around the room testing out all of the fancy gadgets available at my disposal. Soon the train begins moving and I decide it is best to head out to have dinner.

I walk out of the room and down a small hallway to find two people sitting at a modern looking dining table.

“Please sit, Diamond,” a man who looks to be in his early twenties says, motioning to a chair. I nod and take the seat, sitting in silence until Zircon appears. My heart skips a beat as I watch him walk over to the table.

POV: Zircon

My heart beats fast as I sit in one of the visiting rooms of the Justice building. I thought I was prepared for this. Maybe I’m not, maybe I’m weak. No, I’m not weak, just foolish for getting tied together with my enemy. Foolish for falling in love.

Could I kill her? I think I could. The death of her would be like a part of me dying as well, however. I bring my hands up to my face and sit back on the couch. This is going to drive me crazy. In just a few days I’ll be fighting to the death with twenty-three other tributes.

Maybe it would be better if I didn’t come out alive. It would be swift and painless to let myself be killed in the bloodbath. I can’t, though. I’ve trained too long for that to happen. I am a career. I’ll have my team, and as for long as possible, Diamond will be my ally. I can only hope that one of us is killed before the other.

I stand up and pace the room. Soon the door opens and two peacekeepers drag me out of the room and to a train. It’s time to meet my mentors and see Diamond once again. My chest aches just thinking about the inevitable future that lies before us both.

I’m brought to a room on the train. It’s big, and looks very much like what a Capitol room looks like in my head. I sit down on the bed and wait, unsure of what to do next.

“Be ready in ten minutes! Time to meet the mentors at dinner!” a voice from outside calls. Within those ten minutes the train begins to move. We are finally departing from District One. My home.

I walk out of my room and down a hallway. I find Diamond along with two strangers sitting at the table. I take a seat, trying to avert my eyes from Diamond’s gaze. I watch the two strangers before me. One is a girl who must be around forty sitting like she doesn’t have a care in the world. She has platinum blonde hair and eyes that remind me of a cat. The man next to her has a surprising shade of dark hair. People in District Two almost all have blonde hair. Strange. He stares at me and then speaks.

“I am Gem and this is Precious. We will be your mentors. You will do anything and everything we tell you to do. We do not want to be known as failures,” Diamond and I nod at them as they stare at us. I’m surprised by how fast they rush into ordering us around.

“Now, let’s eat.” Gem says.

The Hunger Games Writing Contest: The Reaping – #1

April 19, 2012

I recently entered a writing contest based off of THG ^_^ I’ll be putting my entries here.

The Morning Of: Diamond

I run full force next to a line of dummies, slicing their heads off leaving fake blood dripping down their necks. I stop at the end of the line, letting my sword drop with a clatter to the floor. I kneel down, covering my face in my hands. I am not going to cry.

I hear a door open and footsteps coming towards me. I stay where I am, wishing I was invisible. My wish doesn’t come true as I feel strong arms lift me up and pull me into a hug. Not just any hug, but his hug. I rest my head on his shoulder, feeling calm once again in his embrace.

“We’ve known this is what would happen for all our lives, Dime,” he whispers in my ear. His arms suddenly feel less safe. I try to ignore it and inhale his smell which I’ve come to love so much over the past years.

“I know, Zircon, but..” I whisper back, holding him tighter hoping the security I had previously felt would return. Instead I only feel the arms of an enemy.

“You had better get home and get dressed. You want to look good for the cameras,” he pulls back and smiles at me, holding his hand out for me to take.

“Okay,” I reply, taking his hand.

We walk to my home. And as expected, a huge celebration is going on inside. My ‘good-luck’ celebration. No doubt Zircon has one back home as well. We stop near my house, our hands still entwined.

“I’ll see you at the reaping,” Zircon says quietly. He then kisses my cheek and lets my hand drop to my side.

“Bye..,” I whisper, but he is already walking away.

I walk towards my house, pushing my way through the large crowd of people congratulating me and wishing me luck. I find the way to the bedroom that I share with my two younger siblings and find the dress that I’ll be wearing to the reaping. It must have cost my family a fortune.

I undress and slip the pale green dress on. I lay down on my bed, filled with mixed emotions over the day. Seconds later my father rushes into my room and pulls my arm to prop me up.

“It’s time for your big day, dear!” he says excitedly, I force a smile.

The Reaping: Zircon

Just a few yards away now, and before I know it I’ve arrived at the town square. There are already mobs of people everywhere. The groups of children of different ages are all smiling and laughing happily with each other. That’s because in District One no one has to worry about being picked as tributes. We have careers. And I’m one of them.

I find my spot with the eighteen year olds and spot Diamond in the middle of the crowd looking solemn. I push through the variety of people and stand next to her, taking her hand in my own.

“Ready?” I ask.

“Yeah,” she replies.

Eighteen years. That’s how long Diamond and I have been readying ourselves for the Games. Since birth, our parents had decided that we be the tributes for the 54th Hunger Games. It was never expected by anyone that Diamond and I would become so closely attached to each other, so we never told anyone of our relationship. One of us is going to have to die, anyway.

The mayor drones on about the history of Panem as he does every year. And like every year, I tune him out and look around at the people of District One. I won’t miss any of them.

“And now.. it is time to pick our tributes!” the Mayor announces. I sigh as a lady from the Capitol makes her way to a large glass bowl and just before picking a piece of paper out for the girls, she halts.

“Do we have any lovely ladies willing to volunteer?” There are always volunteers. Diamond takes her hand out of my own and makes her way to the stage, keeping her eyes averted from my gaze.

“I volunteer,” she states sourly.

“Oh goody! Now to the boys!” the purple skinned lady moves over to the bowl filled with boys names, and as before, asks for volunteers.

“Yeah,” I say, raising my hand in the air and pushing myself through the crowd.

Diamond is standing on the stage smiling and waving to everyone as she was taught to do. I take a place next to her and do the same. We no longer have a relationship together; we’re enemies. After giving the lady our names, she steps up to the podium to announce our names.

“Ladies and gentlemen, our District One tributes, Diamond Clearwater and Zircon Adamant!”

Before I even know what’s happening, a pair of Peacekeepers in their white uniforms grab us and push us towards the Justice Building.

The Disappearance of Bella Goth: A Story About the Goth Family

November 22, 2011

So I haven’t been around in forever, though lately I’ve been getting back into simming. I’ve been updating my rainbowcy a lot too ^_^ Stories are next in line. The next chapter for WNF is half written up, no idea when it will be out though. I’m in a serious stuck position with that one. I’ll sit down tomorrow and do my best to finish it. The other stories I have are kinda just.. hanging there… dunno when I’ll continue them. BUT ANYWAY! Check this out. Just posted the forum so I’ll copy and paste it ;D Yeah.. another story.. enough already, right?

Bella & Mortimer Goth.

Quite the story behind them, eh?

Though through all those years of their life together what went on in their household? What about Bella’s disappearance? Well, we’re gunna find out. ;D

I’m going to be building their story based on the facts in The Sims 2. This means it will include many of the pre-made characters such as Don Lothario, Nina and Dina Caliente, Kaylynn Langerak and so on. All of these characters were left with memories and backgrounds that add on to the mystery of Bella’s disappearance. I’m going to put them all together and make a story out of it.

Some of the things that EA/Maxis did in The Sims 2 & 3 with the families contradict, but I’ll be working everything out so it is as accurate as possible.

The story will [probably] be told in the POV of Cassandra Goth, Bella’s daughter, starting from when Bella was a child living in Sunset Valley (Later known as Pleasantview), unless I change my mind before I get the Intro out. I tend to do that.. but the POV will be consistent so don’t worry. xD

For those of you who know nothing about Bella Goth I’ll sum some stuff up quickly.

Bella Goth was married to Mortimer Goth, her best friend since she was a child. They had two children, Cassandra (Eldest) and Alexander (Youngest). Bella was thought to be abducted by aliens one night; she was last seen at the town Casanova’s house, Don Lothario. Strangely enough, he did not have a memory of Bella being abducted. The only people with this memory were Mortimer and Cassandra. If you want to learn more I suggest googling it. It’s a pretty long and slightly confusing plot. You’ll learn it all in due time as I release chapters. 🙂

And for those who did not play The Sims 2, memories were like the scrapbook we have now, except way better. 😛

I’ll be using this Pleasantview from Modthesims.

Trigger – Introduction

October 3, 2011

“I love you,” Jack whispers to me, staring expectantly at me with his brown eyes.
We are squished so close together I can manage to hear his deep voice over the sirens and my own sobs. My unnamed baby girl sits next to us, giggling in her innocence.
“I love you too.. even after,” I reply quietly.
“Even after,” he answers me, pulling me towards him into a kiss.

Though we snap out of the moment from someone yelling for us to come out with our hands up. I look at over to Jack, fresh tears springing from my crystal blue eyes.
“What’s going to happen to her?” I scream, nearing hysterics as I gesture to our child.

Jack stares at me as he tells me to close my eyes. I do as I’m told, knowing what was probably coming. He sits behind me and I lay my head on his shoulder, imagining that all of this wasn’t real. I hear the sound of him loading his gun, then him whisper in my ear.
“I’m so sorry, Emily.”
And the past few years flash through my mind.

All Eyes On Me – Introduction

July 7, 2011

One step. Two steps. Three steps. CRACK!

Lord, kill me now!

I’m on the floor by now from the heel of my stiletto breaking. Just a perfect addition to my already terrible day. What have I learned today? Never ever in a million years date your boss, because in the end you’ll end up with no boyfriend and no boss. Oh, and carry sneakers with you where ever you go.

I slowly stand back up and take off my heels. I’m just a couple cars down from my own, thank god. I start to search through my purse for my keys. No. This is NOT happening. I panic as I start to search faster. Where are they?! I take a deep breath as I walk the rest of the way to my car and look into the dirty window of my dumpy little car. There they are. On my worn out front seat. Okay, don’t panic. I’m only in the worst part of the city at 11pm. I’ll make it out alive.

Or maybe I can just curl up into a ball and die right here! Yes, that should save me from a painful death. I lean up against my car and begin to slide down the side. Just think happy thoughts, Jamie. You’ve been in worse situations than this before. Alright.. happy thoughts: My one room apartment that I wish would just burn down, my car that breaks down every other week, my job that I recieve no respect at both from the customers and my co-workers. Yup. I’m a ball full of sunshine and happiness right now.

“Lord! Take me now! Just let lightning hit me and burn me to a crisp!” I yell out.

I take another deep breath and let out the loudest scream I can possibly release. It calms me down for a little until it triggers dogs to bark from far away and lights going on in the apartments around me. Glad I made them so damn happy.

I let out a grunt then hop up onto the hood of my car and let my blonde hair cascade around my face. My legs are freezing cold because of this stupid short dress I’m forced to wear to work. Why did I accept a job as a waitress at a strip club I’ll never know. I suppose because no one else wanted me, and at the time I was happy to be with my boyfriend. The damn prick.

“Looks like you’re in quite a pickle, young lady!” I hear a cracky voice say.

I look up to see an elderly woman with graying brown hair and light wrinkles on her face approaching me. Why would she be in this neighborhood? She looks like she has money, and lots of it. She walks over to me and I hop off the car.

“Yeah, a pickle.. sure. I locked my keys inside and have no money for a cab.” I say as I point back to my car. You may think this is embarassing but embarassing is my middle name. I’m used to it. The woman studies my face for a minute. It scares me a little, what a creep.

“Just look at you. Looks like you haven’t had a nights rest in ages, with those bags under your eyes. Or is that just your pound of makeup? Hahaha!” She laughs at her own joke,”Now come on. You are going to stay at my home.”

What?

“What?” I repeat my thoughts.

“And you’re too skinny! Come with me now. I’ll plump you up and let you have a good nights rest.”

“Uhhh..” I try to say something but can’t think right.

“Now, come on lazy bones! My car is just down the street!” Is this lady on something? My thoughts are confirmed as she grabs my arm and begins to pull me down the street.

“You would do more help if you would just drop me off at my apartment. Or just leave me alone. I can just call a friend with my cell to get me.” I say uneasily.

“Nope!” She says back with total confidence.

“Um.. I’d rather not be abducted by some old lady, thanks.” I say rudely.

She whips around and gasps.

“Old?!”

“Oh. Uh. I didn’t mean that, sorry.”

“It’s quite alright young lady. Now let’s go!”

“Are you serious? You’re gunna let a stranger into your home? You’re nuts lady.”

“Do I have a reason to not trust you?” She questions.

“You tell me.” I reply.

“No I do not, now get a move on girl!”

I guess she isn’t taking no for an answer but hey, if this lady is as rich as she looks a stay at her house wouldn’t be too bad. Alright then. Bring it on you old hag. Let’s see where this takes me.

“Quite the car you got here lady.” I say as we approach her expensive looking red and black vehicle.

“Oh yes! It’s my sons. I have my own hot pink one back home. I just love pink! Hehehe.”

“Alright then crazy..” I whisper to myself as we get into the car.

We start our drive out of the city leaving the bright lights and the bustle of city traffic behind us. I realize then the way we are heading. Definitely a good thing I finally accepted her invitation.

“You live in the hills?” I say casually.

“Sure do! Been there my whole life.” She responds.

We speed by house after house and all I can think is which one is hers? They seem to get bigger and bigger as we pass. Finally I see the biggest house I have ever looked at before. No way is that her house.

“Here we are!” the lady says.

“Wow.” is all I can manage to say.

Yay, stuff tomorrow :D

July 7, 2011

Okay, so I finally got some inspiration for the next When Night Falls chapter. I should have it out in the next couple days. What I will for sure have tomorrow is a new story I’ve been writing 🙂 Just the intro, so I hope you all will like it. I’ll add a lil’ sneaky peek of the main character :O

All Eyes On Me – Jamie Williams

When Night Falls – Chapter Two

May 26, 2011

The first night after my.. *ahem* let’s just say my first dinner with the vampires, Jean brought me into the vampires meeting room. For some reason they all looked much gloomier than I had remembered. All with faces of anger, sadness, and even fear.

She said they had to discuss what they would be doing with me. Apparently, they still weren’t sure if they were going to keep me..

At this meeting I met only one new vampire, but according to Jean there were 10 others. They were all out hunting that night and I would meet them another time. This one particular vampire wouldn’t shut up and just kept talking to me.

“So they had starved me for about 2 months and as soon as I was brought into the little village I-”

Thankfully the vampire was cut short of his story about his first kill when an elderly vampire walked in. Jean leaned in and whispered in my ear, “That’s John, he’s the oldest vampire around Bridgeport. Also known as our superior so anything he says, goes.”

“Hello everyone, let’s make this quick. As you know we’ve been very busy with the hunters lately. Now we are here to discuss this fledgling here, Kristen. I’ve made my decision and that is Sam must train her and bring her hunting. He is in charge of her safety as well.”

I thought about what he meant by ‘hunters’ but shrugged it off. Another vampire term I’m sure.

One of the vampires I had seen before but didn’t know the name of spoke out,”What?! No! Jean has been perfectly fine with taking her hunting. I don’t-I mean Sam wouldn’t like having the girl with her anyway!”

I looked over at Sam’s face. He seemed pretty annoyed.. shocked.. freaked out. I’m not sure what the right word was, but you could tell he wasn’t happy. I could tell already it was going to be hell hunting with this guy, he so obviously hated me yet he is the one that changed me.

“No, Sage. I’d rather not. No offense to you Kristen but he turned you so he should train you. I’ll tag along every now and then but I don’t want to have the responsibility of always taking her. Sam is considered your master now you know, Kristen,” Jean spoke to everyone.

“Master?! I don’t think so! It wasn’t my choice to be turned, why should I listen to him!” I cried out.

“Enough! All of you! Sam takes Kristen hunting, that’s final. Now I’d like to go get some hunting in myself before the sun rises, so if you’ll excuse me..”

The old vampire stood from his chair and silently walked out of the room. All around the table some vampires were smiling while others looked less than pleased.

So over the next few weeks I met and socialized with all the other vampires. Jean and I had strengthened our friendship, if that’s what I could call it. I also met another vampire and we became great friends. She didn’t judge me at all, always very playful with me. Her name was Trinity.

Whenever I passed Sam in the hall or if I talked to him or even made eye contact with him he would just glare at me and give a slight grunting noise. Great to know the vampire that turned you hates your guts.

Though according to everyone else he wasn’t exactly nice to anyone, except for the child vampire in the clan. I had only talked to her once but she seemed extremely nice. Don’t know why she sticks to Sam so much.

This also brings me to the vampire I had met at the meeting. His name was Bryan and he constantly flirted with me. I eventually had to yell at him for him to stop following me around. I was used to that though, being a celebrity before hand and all.

Then there was also the other lady vampire, Sage. She followed Sam around like a lost puppy. It was pretty funny to see him sit down and her snuggle close to him. He would immediately get up and walk away mumbling under his breath. She was pretty oblivious to it.

The day had come for my next hunt.. Sam had yet again put up a fight to not bring me but John forced him into it or else Sam would be banished from the clan. From what Jean tells me, a lone vampire in Bridgeport is pretty much a death sentence. It has a lot of hunters checking for vampires daily.

Oh yeah, I found out what ‘hunter’ meant. There was part of the human world that knew about us and many of them chose to kill us. When Jean first told me this story it kind of creeped me out, but apparently if a vampire is killed anything their eyes see is seen by them even after their death. Once their eyes are closed they can move on to the afterlife. What hunters do is nail open the eyelids and hang them in the headquarters of the hunters so they can forever see their brothers and sisters die.

Lately hunters have been growing in numbers. Just a week before I came 3 vampires were captured. So every night we have to be extra careful on who we choose to hunt. Although vampires are very hard to catch, hunters have become increasingly talented at it. The only way to kill a vampire is by removing their fangs.

Pretty silly though, hunters don’t even go out at night because of all the hunting vampires. They will only go if they are planning on taking over a whole clans home. So when we hunt we are mostly safe.

The night had come for my first time hunting with Sam. I walked with him, following him to wherever his hunting grounds were.

Of course. The place he had captured me at.

“Yeah, great idea. Just bring me back to the place where you attacked me.. such great memories huh? Care to reminisce?” I taunted him. He mearly gave me a small grunt as usual and leaned down into his crouch.

“Okay, just ignore me! I don’t get what your problem is! You changed me, it’s your fault I’m here! The least you could do is acknowledge me! All you’ve done the whole time I’ve been here is completely ignore me and give me your stupid little grunts! Come on! SPEAK!” I had lost my temper with this boy.

A smile lit my face as I thought I had won. Sam slowly eased out of his crouch as he saw a human round the corner. Sam whispered two small words as he grabbed my arm and pulled me away.

“Run. Now.”

“What the hell, Sam! Where are we going? You had a perfect target right there and you just run?!”

“Are you stupid, Kristen? That was a hunter! Now shut up and follow me,” he growled at me. I thought back to the human.. err I mean hunter.. he was a bit different looking. He also had glowing eyes, but somehow they weren’t the same as ours.

As we passed through central park I started to fall behind Sam. He sure was faster than me. He grabbed my arm and pulled me up alongside him. He held me as he ran and kept me right next to him the whole time. I barely even had to do any work.

“Now where are we? Why didn’t we go back to the house? Sam? Answer me! You’re really driving me insane here! Where is everyone else? We have to go back and check on them!”

Suddenly, without warning Sam whipped around to face me.

“KRISTEN! SHUT UP! Don’t you realize I don’t want to talk to you! We can’t go back because the hunters have probably already gotten there! They never go out at night unless for a good reason! So they were probably planning on attacking our house for a while! Most likely half of our clan is dead now so you need to stop worrying about others and just stop speaking to me!” he screamed in my face. Never had I met someone so selfish.

Sam let out a loud sigh and walked into the little green house he brought me to in the woods. I found him sitting at the couch and I walked over and sat by him.

“I’m sorry,” I whispered, “I just don’t get how you can be so selfish though.. they are your family you know..”

“My family is dead.”

“They might not be.. they could have gotten away like we did.”

“No, I mean my real family is dead. I killed them,” I hadn’t expected that. I didn’t even think he would answer me in fact. I tried to keep calm, maybe I could salvage any possibility of being friendly towards each other.

“H-how?” I answered, unsure of this vampire now. If he could kill his family I definitely wasn’t feeling safe with him anymore.

“It was back when vampires were accepted in the world.. then all these hunters started going around lynching all the vampires. They eventually made way to my family’s house.. I was only 4. I didn’t mean to give away our hiding spot.. I didn’t know how serious it was..” Relief flooded over me. He just felt guilty.. he didn’t actually kill them. I scooted closer to him and gave him a hug. He began to push me away but stopped and let out a sigh.

“I spoke to my mom, we were hiding under a bed. As soon as I spoke I heard footsteps running to the bed. My mom quickly told me to stay there and be absolutely quiet. She got out from under the bed and that’s when I could see everyone’s feet. My father, my mother, and I could hear my baby sisters cries. I saw them drop to the floor, eyes wide and fangs missing. The hunters pulled them out of the room, and that was the last I saw of them.”

“It’s not your fault,” I whispered to him. I looked up and met his eyes.

“I don’t want to be alone anymore,” Sam stated with a shaky voice. I closed my eyes and pulled him in for a kiss.

Had I finally found my real true love?
